I had chosen six locales where I had become acquainted with the properties discussed by hiking or horseback riding on them. I became curious about their history, and the research I did became the basis for this course. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that nearly all of the material here is copyrighted, either by me or by my sources, and is intended to be used solely for educational purposes. I have tried to acknowledge all the help I received, from my students and others.
