Another piece of Aspergerian Humor

Not that we have a monopoly on this kind of delusion! Still, based on my own experience and conversations with fellow autistics, it seems clear to me that, to an unusual degree, we really do expect the world to know what we are thinking.

    Another New Yorker cartoon shows a woman sprawled on the sofa wearing nothing but high heels. Her hair fans out on the pillow. She’s holding a glass of wine and gazing at her husband.

    He leans forward from his armchair, puzzled. “What do you want, Denise?” he asks. “I’m not a mind reader.”

    1. Good one! I hadn’t seen that, but it sounds about right. If you want us to know something, you’d better tell us, because we’re just not very good at “reading between the lines!”
